Green Line Architects is hiring!


Green Line Architects, PC seeks a Project Manager with 5 to 9 years experience in
Carbondale, Colorado.

We are a progressive, dynamic architecture firm specializing in sustainable design for homes, as well as commercial and agricultural projects.  We are currently working on off-grid and Net-zero structures and a variety of residential projects from luxury homes to affordable; and even some tiny homes for good measure!  We are a community-based firm that works with individuals and local non-profits.

QUALIFICATIONS::
Green Line Architects is seeking a staff member with an architectural degree, strong design and production skills, and a solid work ethic.  (5 to 9 years of work experience, IDP track preferred, license not necessary) The primary area of work is project management with a strong emphasis on drawing production. The position also requires office management,  site observations, and 3D modeling / rendering. Candidates should have the ability to work efficiently and unsupervised for a day or two at a time. The successful candidate will be expected to work early/late as necessary to meet deadlines; should have a sense of humor and the physical ability to fully inspect any building on site, including in crawl spaces and on top of roofs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES::
Project Management.
Production of construction documents.
Hand-sketching and computer rendering.
Meeting task and project deadlines. 
Communication with Principal Architect of task assignments and expectations. 
Design and detailing.
Representation of Green Line Architects in a professional manner, without fail.
Performing job-related research.
Learning appropriate Building Science -- (candidate should be dedicated to learning about most current building systems and construction methods)
Development of CAD skills (ArchiCad is our primary software)
Promotion of a collaborative team atmosphere. 
Participating in professional/community organization and activities. 
Taking advantage of continuing education and seminar opportunities.

ADDITIONALLY::
Candidates should also be aware of the high cost of living and difficulty in securing housing in the Roaring Fork Valley. Therefore local candidates, and those who have already have housing secured will be given preference.
Candidates who meet the above qualifications and who are capable of undertaking the above responsibilities will be considered.
This is a long-term, permanent position, which will begin with a six-month trial period. Benefits after 6 months include: Powder Days off, Ski Pass Benefit, Holidays and accrual of Vacation time.

Extra credit if you have experience with Living Buildings or PassivHaus design. 

IDP candidates will receive experience in all categories of work. 
Salary based on experience and qualifications.

Performing job-related research.
Learning appropriate Building Science -- (candidate should be dedicated to learning about most current building systems and construction methods)
Development of CAD skills (ArchiCad is our primary software)
Maintaining good knowledge of Green Line projects, affiliates and resources. 
Promotion of a collaborative team atmosphere. 
Participating in professional/community organization and activities. 
Taking advantage of continuing education and seminar opportunities.
